Brazilian Buttock Lift in Miami

Service Details

The Brazilian Butt Lift, also referred to as BBL, is a specialized gluteoplasty procedure utilizing fat transfer, designed to enhance and potentially reshape buttocks that are unresponsive to diet and exercise, effectively delivering a more voluminous and shapely appearance. Candidates for a BBL are unhappy with the lack of fullness, roundness, and projection of their buttocks, and/or with having asymmetrical buttocks; they should also have realistic expectations about the results that this procedure can provide. Significantly more women than men seek to have their buttocks augmented, but in recent years, the number of men has increased.

How is a BBL Performed

The Brazilian Butt Lift procedure involves the strategic removal of excess fat from areas such as the hips, abdomen, lower back, or thighs through liposuction. This harvested fat is then carefully injected into the buttocks to fill the upper quadrant, ensuring the butt appears lifted and perky. The outcome is a more rounded and sensually shaped buttock. Factors influencing the suitability for a BBL include the initial shape and size of the buttocks, skin quality and elasticity, and the volume of available body fat for transfer. It may take up to a year to see the final results of the BBL, as the body needs time to naturally integrate the transferred fat. The process yields results that are not only more natural-looking due to the use of the patient’s own fat but also sustainable, with most patients retaining approximately 60 to 80 percent of the transferred fat, as noted by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Recovering from a BBL

After a Brazilian Butt Lift, a compression garment must be worn for 2 to 3 weeks. Patients should not sit directly on their buttocks for at least 2 weeks; placing a pillow beneath the back of the legs to raise the buttocks and keep pressure off them is required. Sleeping facedown or on the side is also recommended. Pain/discomfort, bruising, and swelling are common after the procedure. Recovery time is slightly quicker, with most patients returning to work within 10 to 14 days and resuming exercise after 8 weeks.
